This is one of those guides that must leave a lot of room for personal preference so I'm simply going to give the basics and people can work off of that. Also I include several links in this forum, I did not bother to link them and simply included the web address. Simply copy and paste these to your Address bar.
1. Uniform
With the phasing out of MultiCam, the standard uniform for the U.S. Army remains the ACU. One my choose either to wear the standard ACU blouse or they can wear the combat shirt. You will also need a set of standard desert boots with a tongue at least 8 inches in length. Will also need the proper name and branch patches. I recommend buying authentic ACU's from your local surplus store but if you want to be stubborn and be a classic chairsofter then you can buy a pair of knock-offs from airsplat.com f0r 30 bucks but prepare to be ridiculed by devoted Gear-Whores like myself.

2. Eye Wear
Okay lets face it, most people know what soldiers prefer to use on the battle field, that's right Oakley M- frames. But we all know how expensive they are.
Thankfully We have knock offs. Its pretty easy to find fake Oakley's for aesthetics, please do not wear these to protect your eyes from BB's, they will break,.

Now for eye protection you can wear a simple pair of sand, wind, dust goggles from u.s. Cavalry

3. Soft Head gear
As far as soft headgear goes, you have a couple of choices but none are suitable for a game but work great for "off duty" impressions they are the Boonie hat, the patrol cap, and the micro fleece watch cap for winter operations.
In part two, I will touch on combat gear including body armor, tactical vest, helmets, weapons, and tactical gear such as glow sticks, MRE's, Flashlights, and other aesthetic peices.
Stay frosty team
Well I'm back to finish my guide. In this section I will show you the many pieces of gear to make you look more like a soldier and less like an airsofter.
1. Vest and Body armor
I don't really care which vest cost the least, if you are trying to look professional DO NOT buy a cross draw vest unless you are a K-9 handler. Now the best vest to buy for any soldier is the Interceptor body armor vest. you really have two inexpensive choices. It is appropriate in some areas of operation to wear tan or even woodland IOTV's.

2. Helmets
The standard helmet for most U.S. troops is still the M-88 Fritz, The best color is a light OD but you should place an ACU cover on it and use a standard M88 NVG mount. Bunny ear retention straps are also recommended.
3. Primary Weapon
Many people seem to think for some reason that the M-16 is still the primary weapon of the U.S. and officially it is, but unofficially there are More M-4 carbine's in use world wide. My personal favorite M-4 is the SRC M-4 RIS

This is not intended for snipers or DM so i wont go into DMR's or sniper rifles. But if you intend to be a heavy weapons specialist then you can go with an m249 SAW

Next you'll need an acu camelbak, pretty easy to find, also while I am back on the topic of clothing and such, buy shemagh most infantry mend cary either that or a neck gaitor. I am about to simply go down a list of items that you dont need but will look really good.
